Madrigal Dinner

We went to Kadena High School's Madrigal Dinner last night. (Ignore the wrinkles in my dress, we forgot to take pictures before the concert. This picture was taken when we got home.) The choir teacher is awesome. He has been DODEA's Teacher of the Year (Department of Defense Education Association. This is the whole system of defense schools world-wide.) The night was themed in Old England with Lords and Ladies, Knights, Court Jesters, Pirates and castles. The songs were beautifully sung and played (yes, they played brass instruments, wind instruments, and string instruments, too.) This was an extremely talented bunch of high school students. Serving us dinner was neatly woven into the story and songs. We had "roast beast" which was really smoked roast beef, potatoes, corn, salad, green beans, bread, black forest cake for dessert, and warm wassail to drink. (They said they smoked 150 pounds of the roast beef over the 3-day engagement.) We will definately be buying tickets to attend again next year! What fun!
