It's Christmas Eve and we spent the day celebrating with family traditions. We just got back from our family christmas eve bowling. Greg won! He bowled well above his average with a 148 and 131! Great job, Greg! I bowled a respectable 123 and a pathetic 99. Bummer. Erika bowled a perfect 100 and then got tired and bowled 83. Michael was the most consistent and bowled 66 and a 64. Both kids had the advantage of bumpers. Next year, the goal is to have them bowl on their own!
We baked sugar cookies this morning and now are getting ready to decorate them. Michael is excited to leave cookies and milk for Santa and carrots for his reindeer. (Being the animal lover, he wants to make sure the reindeer do not feel left out.)
We capped off the evening with a dinner of home-made pizza and sugar cookies. We watched "Miracle on 34th Street." We believe in Santa Claus and are ready for Christmas!
As usual, the kids feel like time is standing still. I promise, Christmas will eventually come! We keep teasing them with the knowledge that at least here, Christmas comes a day sooner than they are accustomed to.

Merry Christmas Eve Haynes Family. We are just getting up on Christmas Eve. We are getting ready for breakfast, and then will watch The Santa Clause. We have a few treats to make so they will be ready to take to Louise's in the morning. I believe we are ready for Santa tonight. We made some Candy Cane cookies, so we hope Santa will like this surprise.
